This will be my one “promoted post” on Facebook.

Over at my personal blog, I recently talked about the problems with the two biggest social media networks.  Or at least, the problems you have in making sure you hear from the people you want to hear from.

tl;dr:  Twitter’s gotten too big, and Facebook broke their own system and is now charging to make sure people hear the things they said they wanted to hear about.

I really, really, really do not want to spam all my social networks with the same thing multiple times a day just to make sure that people seewhat they already said they wanted to see.

So don’t let Facebook (or Twitter) decide what you want to see.  Take back control:

There are two options to make sure you always hear about the latest news from Alliteration Ink:

The RSS feed.  It has what shows up on this blog, but delivered to your feedreader OR directly to your e-mail.  Click on to get the RSS feed.  (What is RSS?  Click here.)

The email list.  I don’t have the same content here.  It’s a little more personal, a little more infrequent, and I’m far more likely to give first notice of giveaways, ask for people to review things, and mention open calls for submissions on this e-mail list.  To subscribe, send an e-mail to: and confirm your subscription.
